St Peter

St. Peter's is an Anglican Church in the open evangelical tradition. Built in 1852 it has been re-ordered with a carpeted floor and upholstered chairs. This has created a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Worship involves a mixture of traditional hymns and modern songs.

We have a friendly Sunday school in term-time during the 10:30am service.

Church members also meet at the weekly coffee mornings and bible studies.

Messy Church meets monthly in the church hall on a Saturday afternoon.

Average attendance across all services on a Sunday is about 50 adults and 10 children out of a wider group of about 80 adults and 20 children.

In 2011 St Peter's built a new Church and Community Hall next door to the church, used for Sunday School and various groups during the week. The hall is available for bookings from community groups or special interest groups, or for private functions.
